Gospel Happenings

  • Bass singer Will Lane announced he is forming the Port City Quartet along with baritone singer Terry Carter. Both Lane are Carter were members of the Anchormen until a few months ago. Other group members will be announced soon. Their first appearance will be December 30 at East Lumberton Church of God in Lumberton,
    NC.
  • The Gaither Vocal Band sang the National Anthem before NASCAR’s First Data 500 in Martinsville, Virginia on Sunday. Click HERE to read ESPN’s announcement of their performance.


Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for Down East Boys bass singer Rick Walls who was admitted to a hospital in Monterey, California after experiencing severe abdominal pain. Walls was on tour with the group at the time.
  • Please pray for Naomi Sego Reader who was recently placed in hospice care.

Remembering

  • Christ Church Choir founder and director, Landy Gardner, passed away last Saturday, October 28. Through his choral ministry, Landy helped launch the careers of many well-known gospel singers. A memorial service will be held tomorrow, November 4, at Christ Church in Nashville, Tennessee.
