NQC 2017: Tuesday Chapel

by | Sep 26, 2017 | History, Major Concert Events

HIGHLIGHT: THE WORD
It’s not difficult to choose a highlight from the Tuesday Chapel service. If Mark Trammell wasn’t a singer, he would be constantly on call as an evangelist. Mark brought a clear Word to us this morning. His scripture ranged from the birth of Christ, to Christ’s time in the temple at age 12, to Christ asking His disciples “Who do men say that I am?”

HISTORY: For many years, Hovie Lister delivered an annual sermon at the National Quartet Convention. Some of these were recorded and released on LP.

Could you tell me what years there were recordings made of Hovie’s sermons? I have 1963 , 1966 and 1967. I’ve never seen any others but have been told there are recordings of his sermons from 1960 – 1969. ??

1963 and 1964 were released on the Stateswood label.
1965 and 1966 were released on the Canaan label.

There may be more, but those are the only four I have information on.
