Concert Review: Allegiance Trio (Ringgold, Georgia)

by | Jul 12, 2017 | Concert Review

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to hear Allegiance Trio in concert. Allegiance is a fairly new group and was named Declaration when they first started. I hadn’t seen them in quite a while since they don’t come “south” very often, so I was very interested to hear them again. Allegiance members are tenor Corey Lackey, lead Kasey Kemp, and baritone Jake Sammons. Many of their songs were older songs/classics and I really enjoyed those. Their new songs were very good as well, and on several songs, they even had the audience singing along. I definitely won’t publish those videos with my singing on them! (You’re welcome!) It was a very nice program and I would encourage you to go see them if they are appearing near you!

Here are a few of the best videos from the evening:

These guys are good. Love the old songs, especially Heaven (Happy Home Above). On a side note, I think the new tenor, Mr. Lackey, sounds a lot like Chris Collins. Nice smooth sound.
