Good news about Soul’d Out getting a live band. I’m guessing 4 piece would include keyboard, drums, bass and lead guitar? Which brings up the question: how many quartets on the road today use at least 4 instruments? I can’t think of hardly any right now. And I am not counting groups like the Primitives. I’m talking regular 4 part male quartets. I saw Ernie Haase & SS over the weekend. Even he only has keyboard and bass. And the reigning “Band of the Year” (Kingdom Heirs) only utilize keyboard, bass and drums.

It probably won’t last long. You can’t feed people with that many in a group in today’s offerings.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Maybe the band members will only be with the group on a part time basis and hold down other jobs on the side. It is really sad nowadays to see so many groups going the way of soundtracks.
