  • Alabama based Perkins Revival announced the addition of baritone David Riley (Tim Riley’s nephew). Riley replaces Trey Marr.
  • Chapel Valley announced the addition of the Allen Family to their Inspire record label.

  • Squire Parsons was honored with The Order of the Long Leaf Pine on Wednesday, October 5 at a ceremony in Asheville, NC. This award is presented by the office of North Carolina’s governor for exemplary service to the State of North Carolina and the community, that is above and beyond the call of duty.

David Bruce Murray is a church music director in Ellenboro, NC. He is the author of Murray's Encyclopedia Of Southern Gospel Music and the owner of both SGHistory.com and MusicScribe.com. David plays piano for Southern Sounds Quartet and the Foothills Community Choir.
