2016 SURVEY: Head-To-Head Elimination

UPDATE (July 29, 2016): Head-to-head voting is closed. Click HERE to vote in the final round before August 5, 2016!

The nominations are in. It’s time to vote for Gospel Music’s Most Infamous YouTube Performance!

The first round of voting will be a head-to-head elimination. We have a total of ten nominations, so I’ve sorted them into five groups of two.

Compare each pair of videos and choose the one you’d like to see advance.  To vote, leave a comment under this article. Valid responses are: A1 or A2, B1 or B2, C1 or C2, D1 or D2, E1 or E2. You must enter A, B, C, D, & E (each followed by 1 or 2) for your vote to count. Please put your vote at the top of your comment. If you have further comments, drop down a couple of lines. This is just to make it easier to tabulate votes.

If you followed a link here from Facebook, please be sure to comment here on this website, not on Facebook.

Voting ends Friday, July 29th at midnight, Eastern Daylight Time.

Have fun!

Even though I have been raised Pentecostal and I enjoy it when the Holy Spirit takes over and people shout and run the aisles, I have never seen a service where there were so many people running and carrying on and I have been in some wild ones. I don’t want to offend the Holy Spirit. But this appears to be a staged video I would like to know the church where this was made.

It was most definitely not staged. I know the person shown singing. (Rather, knew…he is in heaven.) I can’t say for sure he was in total agreement with everything going on, but I can tell you with assurance it was not staged. This was a real service.

He appears to almost laugh about the time that guy’s jacket hits him in the face.

He seeemed to be enjoying it, while at the same time not too sure about all of it.

I’ve been in services with plenty of shouting and running, and surely Bro. Hughes had, too. The somersault, jacket-throwing, and obviously the baptismal dive were very unusual. I’ll stick with unusual and refrain from saying anything negative about it, since I don’t know those folks or their hearts.

Kingsmen shreds always make me laugh no matter how many times I see it. Gotta bit that one.

Unrelated note, …I need help finding a song. It is entitled “Glory Divine” by the Perrys from a mid 1980s project called “The Best Four You”. Any help locating a copy of it would be appreciated. Thanks!

      Stephe,
If you want your vote to count, you’ll need to provide a response for all five.

On the song, I could not locate a copy of the album for sale online, but we do have a live performance posted on our YouTube channel.
