Last Week’s Happenings

  • The Southern Gospel Music Guild honored Les Beasley last Tuesday at their annual Harmony Honors event. They incorporated the old Gospel Singing Jubilee television set. Performances by Goodman Revival,  Jason Crabb, Nelons, Tribute Quartet, LeFevre Quartet, Rambo-McGuire, Ronny Hinson, Freedom Quartet, Three Bridges, Second-Half Quartet, Inspirations, and Karen Peck & New River will air on June 15 on TBN along with interviews with Duane Allen and Willie Wynn.
  • Masters Voice announced the addition of T. J. Evans who will sing lead for the group.
  • Tenor Chuck Pettyjohn announced he is launching a solo ministry.
  • The Graves Family of Northeast Oklahoma has signed with Gold Rush. The group consists of  David and Lynne Graves, their 10 children, and band members Johnny and Jimmy Hardesty.
  • Song Garden Music Group announced the addition of Allegiance to their roster of recording artists.

Praise Report

  • While on tour in Kentucky last Friday, Jeff Whisnant had emergency surgery to relieve pressure from glaucoma in his right eye. Doctors said if he had delayed much longer, he would have lost his sight in his right eye due to the impending damage to his optic nerve. Pray for Jeff’s continued recovery, and also say a word of thanks that his condition was discovered before severe damaged could be done!

Prayer Request

  • Pray for the Nelons, whose home was burgled on Thursday. Also pray for Kelly, who had to stay home last weekend. She was planning to spend her time resting and recuperating, but she didn’t get to do much of that due to the burglary.
  • Pray for Ricky Braddy of Karen Peck & New River. He was admitted to the hospital last week with an infection in his bloodstream.
  • Please pray for Matthew Browder as he recovers from surgery to have his tonsils removed.
