Last Week’s Happenings

  • Daywind Records announced the launch of a new label, Daywind Roots. This label will specialize in classic Christian, Gospel and Country groups like Shenandoah whose first gospel project, Good News Travels Fast, will be the label’s debut release.
  • The Lesters announced their new all-family lineup includes veterans Brian Lester and Jonathan Lester with newcomer Bailee Lester (Jonathan’s wife of four years). The Lesters are currently working on a new CD.
  • Chapel Valley Music Group recently added the Anchormen to their roster of artists. A new CD by the Anchormen is in the making.
  • Ivan Parker has signed a recording agreement with Difference Media. Parker’s new CD for the label is being produced by his former Gold City bandmate Garry Jones.
  • Absolutely Gospel presented their annual music awards last Tuesday. Click HERE to view a complete list of winners.
  • The Talleys released a short film featuring their current single, “The People In The Line.”


Remembering

  • Songwriter Tina Sadler-Stark and two-time Dove Award winner (“God Is Good All The Time” in 2001 and “He’s Watching Me” in 2002) passed away last Tuesday at her home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. A memorial service was held in Poplar Bluff on Friday.
