Solve A Mystery: Who Is Singing This?

Solve A Mystery: Who Is Singing This?

One of our regular MusicScribe readers posted a YouTube link on Facebook today that features an unknown group singing “God Made A Way.”

The artist name is listed as Southern Gospel A Cappella Project, but no individual names are listed in the description. They have a CDBaby page HERE with some album notes, but still no information on the personnel.

If you click HERE, you can hear the other eleven songs from the CD.

I know we have a lot of readers. Do any of you know who this could be?

Sounds like one or two guys on multiple parts. My guess is it’s a couple of the Erwin boys or one or two Ball Brothers, if it’s anyone well known.

I agree….the voices sound too similar. I think it’s one or two people stacking parts.

Sounds like they could pull off a killer cover version of the Transformers theme song.

It’s over-tuned, no doubt, but that is typical of this particular brand of a cappella. I used to sell an artist simply called Acappella that sounded similar. The Acappella Vocal Band and Vocal Union are two more than were on the same label.

Still wish someone could have helped us figure out who is singing this.

The CD is put out by a group called “Church Mouse Music.” The only other artist I can find on their label is called “Cross Examination” or “Cross Examined.” I can’t find their music music online, but it appears they are a family group that does some Southern Gospel. I may be completely off track, but there is my contribution to the investigation.
