Last Week’s Obvious Happening

  • People consumed lots of turkey.
  • People decorated Christmas trees and strung lights on their homes.
  • People fought the crowds at the shopping malls, or went early, or went late to avoid them.
  • Smart people shopped online.

Hopefully, somewhere in all the madness, people also stopped to give thanks for their blessings!

I might be in the minority, but of the 4 things you listed, David, I only did the first one. I’ve never been big on decorating for Christmas or Black Friday shopping.

I actually did none of them. We opted for Boston butt rather than turkey this year, I don’t decorate, and I didn’t do any shopping last week.

I have made up for the shopping today, however.

A little bit of late-breaking news: Chris Jenkins is leaving the Kingsmen effective December 14th and will be joining the Anchormen after the first of the year, taking over the spot left by Derrick Boyd, who is leaving the Anchormen to care for a family member. The press release does not specify if a new tenor has already been named for the Kingsmen, but no mention of auditions was made.
