Last Week’s Happenings

  • Brian Free & Assurance announced the departure of eight-year bass singer Jeremy Lile who has been having health issues in recent months.
  • Karen Peck & New River announced the addition of vocalist Ricky Braddy, a former American Idol contestant.
  • Crossroads Entertainment & Marketing has promoted Greg Bentley to the role of Associate Director of A&R. Bentley has been with the company for 22 years.
  • Gaither Music announced they are launching a new 24/7 network on Dish TV’s channel #276 effective September 28. (If this sounds familiar, it’s because they attempted to do the same thing on Dish channel #255 in 2013. That effort lasted approximately three months before it turned into a random infomercial channel for various music artists not related to Gaither.)
  • Adoration Quartet announced the departure of lead vocalist Corey Wilson. The group is accepting applications in the form of a photo, bio and MP3 demo at adorationquartet@gmail.com.
  • Bluegrass Gospel act Dailey & Vincent announced they have hired former Gold City and Palmetto State Quartet bass singer Aaron McCune to replace the departing Christian Davis. Davis plans to pursue a solo career.
  • Soul’d Out Quartet announced the departure of pianist Michael Howard. Howard had been with the group for seven years.
