Last Week’s Happenings

  • The National Quartet Convention announced pricing and details for their 2015 webcast. The webcast will be available live as the event happens and on-demand after October 19. The delay for on demand viewers is because NQC plans to remix the audio to improve the viewing experience. The on demand viewing period is extended through December 31, 2015.
  • Allison Speer signed a management, booking and marketing agreement with Surge Artist Solutions.
  • Karen Peck & New River announced that Jeff Hawes is leaving the group to become the College & Career Coach for the Jackson County school system in Alabama.

Praise Report

  • The Freemans suffered a bus fire while on tour last week, but were quickly able to suppress it and continue traveling safely. They are grateful that they were on the bus at the time. Had the fire started when they weren’t near the bus, it could have been much worse.
  • Gerald Crabb had a successful triple bypass surgery yesterday (Sunday). He posted the following on his Facebook page: “Hey Friends!! Just had open heart surgery – triple bypass – all 3 had 85% Blockage! The good new is they fixed them all and I’m going to make it!!! Thank you for your prayers!!!”

I know the latest Kingsmen cd is highly successful, but any rumblings of them going into the studio for there next one?

I’ve seen on FB here and there about them picking through songs. They’ll most likely get a couple more hits (maybe even #1’s) from Battle Cry before the new one’s out.
