Last Week’s Happenings

  • The Crabb Family announced they have partnered with Syntax Creative to make their entire catalog of studio recordings dating back to 1996’s Still Holdin’ On available for download at major online digital stores including iTunes and Amazon.
  • Hope’s Journey announced their newest member is Lauren Huckabee of Rossville, Georgia. The Alabama-based trio plans to become a quartet soon by adding a yet-to-be-named bass singer.


  • Luke White, an industry professional who worked for StowTown Records and partner IMC Management, passed away on Sunday, June 28 after suffering from bacterial double pneumonia. He was 28 years old. White’s homegoing celebration service was held on July 1 in Kernersville, NC.

Prayer Requests

  • Please continue to remember Carolyn Kirksey (formerly with Singing News) whose death appears to be imminent. She has been undergoing medical treatment and therapy for several months, but liver disease has left her confused and incoherent.
  • Say a prayer for Squire Parsons who lost consciousness yesterday morning after singing at a church in Marion, North Carolina. CPR was administered twice to revive him. He has since undergone tests at a hospital, but the cause has not yet been determined.

    For the past 3 or 4 of your song survey series my vote will not go through. When I try again it says you’ve already said that, but my vote is not there. It may be something with my computer? Sorry to bother you.

      Yep. I found them in the Spam folder.

      Let me know which vote you want me to keep on “Victory In Jesus.” On one attempt, you voted for #2, and on another attempt, you voted for #3.

      I restored your other votes plus the votes of several more people that the Spam filter had blocked in the last 2-3 weeks. Those votes actually changed the outcome for “One Day At A Time.”
