    –4 has a great quartet sound. Edged out #s 3 and 5

–3 was my favorite until i heard 4. 3 has a prayerful, calm sound and a pleasant vocal

–2 was my least favorite…sounded pained with the wild vocals

–1 nice male vocals with emotion

–5 very nice, sweet female vocals

I’ve always enjoyed hearing Jason Crabb and the Crabb Family on this song.

    I’m torn between 1&2.
The Crabb Family featuring Jason Crabb (1)and Michael English(2). They’re different but in some respects the same. Probably because Jason wanted to sing like Michael when he was first starting out.

You need to choose one of them, Annette. I thought 1 & 2 were very much alike as well.

Yes, as Jackie said, for your vote to count, you’ll have to narrow it down to one choice. Flip a quarter if that’s what it takes! :)

I agree 100% with Chris, who commented on each vocal. He/she nailed each one, IMO.

    Joe Mannon~

Thanks for your comments. It is rare, and a pleasure, to hear from someone who shares at least some of my musical tastes.
BTW, I am an old-timer bass singer in an all-male gospel quartet in a church in Albuquerque.

    Blessings,

    chris

I’ll go with Jason Crabb’s version. I love Pat Barker’s verses on 4 but since I am not a huge tenor fan the chorus is not as good to me.
